Name Clinical Manager Ref # 58769 Date Tuesday, February 24, 2026 Full / Part Time Full Time

Description & Requirements

Clinical Manager | Full Time, Permanent | Monday–Friday | 40 Hours | Winara, Waikanae

Step into a true clinical leadership role where your standards, structure and influence genuinely shape care.

We’re looking for a confident, operationally strong Clinical Manager to lead our Bupa Winara Care Home in Waikanae. This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, offering the stability and balance to lead with clarity and consistency. This is not a shift-covering role. It’s a leadership role.

You will own clinical governance, elevate care standards, coach and grow your nursing team, and ensure compliance, quality and resident wellbeing remain uncompromised. You’ll be visible on the floor, trusted by families, respected by your team, and confident making decisions that strengthen clinical outcomes.

If you are a Senior RN, Unit Coordinator or experienced Clinical Manager ready to lead with structure and purpose, this is your opportunity to step into full accountability.

  • Bringing People Together: You love making everyone feel like they belong, whether they're residents, staff, families and the wider community.
  • Making Residents' Lives Better: You're always doing things to keep residents healthy and happy, which means fewer trips to the hospital, better movement, and feeling mentally good.
  • Helping Staff Grow: You're great at finding and teaching new staff, and you keep helping them learn and get better at their jobs.
  • Making Things Better: You've made changes before to make resident care better, like implement quality improvement initiatives, monitoring performance metrics, and implementing best practices.

Where You will Make an Impact:

  • Provide person-centred clinical care for residents in a 83-bed care home across rest home, hospital, and dementia level of care
  • Lead a team of caregivers and nurses to provide the highest quality clinical care
  • Conduct medication rounds, manage care plans, lead in-service education sessions for staff, and maintain accurate paperwork
  • Stand up and tell us where we can invest more to ensure continuous quality improvement

Your Person-First Approach:

  • You will help us make a real difference through your Clinical Leadership experience, personal passion, and empathy.
  • Hold a current APC and NZ Nursing Council Registration
  • Passion for leading a team to mentor and support others
  • Leading continuous quality improvements
  • Excellent clinical skills in adult care and ideal aged care experience
  • Confident communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities
  • A compassionate nurse who strives for excellence and to make an impact in residents lives

Extra Reasons to Belong:

  • Fully subsidised Southern Cross health insurance to our eligible permanent NZ employees and a discount on insurance cover for eligible family members.
  • Be part of a strong national and regional support network, including Clinical Managers in the region, regional quality partners, and our national clinical services improvement team to support your success in this role.
  • Wellbeing discounts and advice, EAP counselling services, study support
