SUMMARY: The position supports the McCain Finance group, with an emphasis on supporting the commercial finance requirements for McCain North Amercia.  The Financial Analyst creates financial analysis that drives sales support to create joint value creation with our customers through best-in class analysis and controls. This includes identifying pricing opportunities, trade fund optimization and cash improvement initiatives to maximize profitability   In addition, this role will contribute to improve our internal systems and processes to maintain high controls and improve decision making supporting tools. This position reports to the Sr. Finance Manager. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

• Analyze customer profitability, prepare margin analysis reports, and develop and present information in a format applicable to the target audience.
• Creation of monthly sales data/reports for commercial organization and provide analysis on various trends and provide insight or rationale on customers with unacceptable margins
• Using PROS price guidance, provide analysis that quantifies potential revenue opportunity for business to guide decisions
• Update and analyze monthly reports from PowerBI related to end user customers and distriutors to compare volume and gross profit trends
• Update specialized sales and margin analysis reports in response to ad-hoc requests.
• Create the end user profitability reporting and analysis. SME for PROS system and SAP/Power-BI
• Work on special projects as assigned.
• Challenge pushback and acceptance of status quo and demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset.
• Work collaboratively with others and institute best practices in responsibilities and share them throughout the US Commercial Finance team.
• Develop relationships with commercial partners and throughout the organization.
• Enjoys working hard and looks for challenges. Able to act and reach with speed even if limited information is available. Not afraid to take charge of a situation when challenges arise. Demonstrates curiosity and innovative approach to problem solving.

 

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Bachelor’s Degree in the field of Accounting, Finance.
• Strong analytical skills are required.
• Microsoft Office skills are required, must be proficient in Excel.  Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills. PowerBI a plus
• Must be able to convey information to all levels of the organization in a clear, focused, and concise manner.
