About the role

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Business Execution Consultant to become a member of the Corporate Risk group’s Consumer and Small Business Banking’s (CSBB) Business Chief Risk Officer team. This role offers an exciting and challenging opportunity to join the Credit Risk Governance Team. The Small Business Banking (SBB) division of Wells Fargo Bank is a technically sophisticated, entrepreneurial organization committed to applying the most advanced mathematical and data driven technologies to small business lending.

This role will provide experienced support of Credit Risk Governance for Small Business Banking including Credit Policy Administration and engagement with Consumer and Commercial risk oversight groups, Compliance, Control and Front-line partners, DCAA program oversight and execution, key control ownership and execution of credit risk programs. Role also serves as subject matter expert for SBB CRO leadership team.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead cross functional teams to strategize, plan, and execute a variety of programs, services, and initiatives.
  • Drive accountability for assigned initiatives, limit risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriate.
  • Review strategic approaches and effectiveness of support function and business performance.
  • Perform assessments through fact finding and data requiring creative approaches to solving complex issues and develop appropriate solutions or recommendations.
  • Make decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of business group's functional area or products, facilitate decision making and issue resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plans.
  • Collaborate and consult with members of the Business Execution team and team leaders to drive strategic initiatives.
  • Influence, guide, and lead less experienced Strategy and Execution staff within the group.

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.


Desired Qualifications:

  • Consumer and/or Commercial Credit Risk experience.
  • Experience in Credit Policy Administration including writing and executing credit policy and procedures.
  • Experience with Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) program governance, or equivalent program.
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in business or management.
  • Strong organization skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and large-scale individual projects.
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experienced in developing and implementing change management strategies.
  • Ability to proactively identify, manage, and mitigate issues.
  • Ability to partner and collaborate across multiple levels of the organization.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills.
