Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative, operational, and creative support to the VP of Creative Advertising in the conception, development, and production of audio-visual (AV) creative materials for feature film release, including Theatrical Trailers, Television spots, Featurettes, Motion Out of Home, Radio spots and ancillary materials.
- Create and maintain schedules for production of creative AV campaigns.
- Help to create an optimal workflow to follow schedules that meet deadlines.
- Liaise with Finishing team to establish deadlines and guide AV materials through the finishing process.
- Support in ideation and drafting of creative strategy, positioning, copywriting.
- Maintain an active, organized filing system for all assets, including AV material, advertising copy, scripts, transcripts, strategy documents and any related materials relevant to building AV campaigns.
- Traffic and track materials for clearance and approvals from MPA, Networks, Legal, Guilds, and senior management.
- Work with Music team to ensure timely clearance, licensing, and budget adherence for all campaign music.
- Assist in formal correspondence to filmmakers, senior management.
- Communicate and share assets between departments as creative campaigns progress.
- Disseminate strategy briefs, research findings, references materials to agencies.
- Cull competitive campaigns.
- Cull Film Review quotes and interface with publicity to ensure clearance for use in creative materials.
- Track budgets, communicate with finance department, and process invoices, purchase orders, travel expenses, expense reports, etc.
- Maintain a respectful partnership with all creative agencies that are actively engaged with campaigns.
Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in a Creative Advertising department at a major studio and/or motion picture advertising agency, with strong administrative, operational, and project management skills.
- Passionate about film and entertainment marketing.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- Excellent time management skills. Highly capable of managing multiple priorities and high work volume, while meeting deadlines.
- Superior organizational skills.
- Self-starter with strong sense responsibility, urgency, efficiency, and attention to detail.
- Active, attentive listener who follows written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Excellent follow-up and follow-through skills.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with editing, motion graphics and finishing workflows, including file types, version tracking, asset management, industry terminology.
- Experience in trafficking and tracking clearances with MPA, networks, legal, music.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
