Data Engineer

First National Bank of America’s Business Intelligence group is seeking a Data Engineer to provide technical assistance for the development and maintenance of the data models that support our data analysis services.  This individual will be expected to develop a strong understanding of our data transformation operations and the technology that supports these operations.  They will follow the many development patterns we use to support a clean and safe codebase.  This person will learn and follow the standards of our development life cycle and promote a high level of transparency in our coding solutions.

As a Data engineer, we would regularly review the following list of expectations:

• Understand SQL programming strategies at an advanced level and be ready to apply these strategies to our most complex data transformation operations
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines that ingest and process large amounts of data from multiple sources
• Develop within the guidelines of our published SQL strategies and participate in discussions on how those strategies can be implemented most effectively.

A preferred candidate will have:

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field
• Proficiency in SQL and data modeling
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
