Arthrex, Inc. is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics. The Human Resources team is actively seeking a Senior HR Assistant to work at the manufacturing location in Ave Maria, FL. The Senior HR Assistant will support HR team with administrative and clerical functions related to file management, onboarding, benefits, and data management. They will assist employees with initial inquiries, maintain confidentiality of Human Resources information and coordinate activities for the campus. The ideal candidate will need to have excellent communication and advanced computer skills. Two years of office or administration experience is required. HR experience a plus. If hired for this position, you will be eligible for a $2,000.00 sign-on bonus (minus appropriate tax withholdings). You will be paid the $2,000.00 during your first pay period.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Supports HR Manager with tasks and projects.
  • Serves as point of contact for tracking and reporting employee recognition and/or special events.
  • Ensure job board postings are kept curent and maintain physical bulletin boards around facilities.
  • Order and maintain all HR materials and promotional items.
  • Order and distribute locks and locker assignments.
  • Create new hire and maintain existing HR files/file room.
  • Maintain employment posters.
  • Supports internal and external inquiries and requests related to Human Resources.
  • Performs administrative support tasks related to Human Resources programs/projects as required.
  • Support onsite hiring events.
  • Ensure employee performance reviews are complete in a complete in a timely manner. Reports data to supervisors and HR Manager.
  • Maintains site reasonable accommodations.
  • Oversee site Unemployment requests. Completes employment information related to claim.
  • Supports contributions to the AMIE Newsletter.
  • Organization on site termination logistics, prepare all documents for the Employee Relations team.
  • Assist employees with initial inquiry and direct to correct point of contact.
  • Coordinate/Assist employee engagement events/activities including holiday celebrations and other company events in collaboration with the Corporate Meeting and Events team.
  • Assists with receiving and distributing incoming mail/packages.
  • Create PowerPoint presentations and work on excel spreadsheets.
  • Display professionalism, quality service and a “can do” attitude in-person and in all communications both internally and externally.
  • Exercise privacy, confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion regarding work matters and interactions.
  • Assist with I-9 documentation for new hires as needed.

 

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Two years administrative experience required.
  • One year of human resources experience or HR course work preferred.

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training: 

Ability to effectively manage one’s time and handle multiple priorities simultaneously while meeting deadlines.  Ability to work independently and possess a sense of urgency to support internal/external customer needs.  Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively and professionally.  Professional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to learn new procedures and systems quickly.

 

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills: 

Strong clerical and computer skills, including intermediate skills with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.  Experience with SuccessFactors or other HRIS systems is a plus. 

 

Language and Communication Skills: 

Ability to comprehend and apply English language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively in English to other team members and management. Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures in English.
