Job Title: Mobile Equipment Manager

Location: Eau Claire, WI (with frequent travel to Production locations)

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Oversee all aspects of Production Operations mobile equipment and vehicle fleet, ensuring efficient operations, compliance, and costs.
    • Administer company CMMS (Limble) to manage all equipment inventory and documentation of equipment asset records.
    • Coordinate daily labor and maintenance tasks with mechanics, technicians, and applicable SES personnel to ensure that all equipment is in good working condition.
    • Schedule mobile equipment maintenance proactively and promptly to protect assets and mitigate major repairs or production downtime.
    • Obtain quotes from vendors on major repairs, negotiate and obtain other bids as deemed necessary by scope of repair.
    • Review all vendor repair invoices for accuracy and documentation. Work with the procurement department to issue purchase orders to vendors.
    • Conduct review meetings with critical mobile equipment suppliers and vendors.
    • Assist in budget planning for equipment purchases, rentals, sales and maintenance.
    • Negotiate contracts for purchases of mobile equipment, short-term lease (rental) rates and/or loaner machines as needed.
    • Daily manage vendor assignments and block labor rates annually or as they expire.
    • Review end-of-term lease agreements and ensure equipment to be returned follows return stipulations.
    • Review dates of short- and long-term lease equipment and vehicles with Finance/AP personnel.
    • Coordinate part orders to maintain an inventory of basic spare parts and supplies needed to maintain heavy equipment.
    • Provide management with cost analysis to implement an equipment management strategy.
    • Support safety protocols and training programs for the proper use and handling of mobile equipment.
    • Maintain heavy equipment records to include inspections, maintenance, repairs, usage and generate reports to include KPIs for machine costs, idle time, utilization etc.
    • Enforce SES safety practices and policies.
    • Comply with all safety regulations and industry standards for all equipment.
    • Perform additional duties as needed and assigned.
    Requirements:
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Five years of experience in mobile equipment maintenance and utilization, or any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
    • MSHA certification preferred.
    • Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions common to mobile equipment operations.
    • Supervisor or Manager experience preferred.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Valid driver’s license required.
    • Experience in frac sand, aggregate, cement, or mineral processing industry is highly desirable.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Effective communication skills across all organizational levels.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
    • Must be highly organized, self-motivated and possess the ability to work independently.
    • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing situations.
    • Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office applications.
    • Flexibility to be on-call and work weekends if needed and/or as necessary.
    • Exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others; and works to maintain constructive working relationships.
    • In depth understanding of equipment maintenance including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair mobile equipment and plant locations.
