About the role

Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Administrator / Executive Director to lead the implementation of the Returning Residents Program centered around the clean energy industry. This position requires a dynamic leader who will coordinate with the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) personnel for participant recruitment and enrollment, manage employer outreach, and secure job placements and work-based learning opportunities for program graduates. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program development, employer engagement, financial management, and workforce development, as well as familiarity with justice-involved populations and clean energy industry trends.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Oversee the implementation and administration of the Returning Residents Program.
- Collaborate with IDOC personnel to facilitate participant recruitment and enrollment processes.
- Manage outreach efforts to employers to secure job placements and work-based learning opportunities for graduates.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with employers to encourage the hiring of returning residents.
- Influence supportive employer policies and practices to foster an inclusive hiring environment.
- Participate in the creation and dissemination of the "Hiring Returning Residents" handbook.
- Monitor program progress and outcomes, preparing reports to evaluate effectiveness and impact.
- Prepare and manage the program budget, ensuring financial accountability and sustainability.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for employers on engaging with justice-involved populations.
- Stay informed about trends in the clean energy industry and workforce development to inform program strategies.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Work, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline); Master's degree preferred.
- Strong understanding of issues facing justice-involved populations and barriers to employment.
- Demonstrated experience in financial management and budget oversight.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Proven track record of developing and maintaining productive relationships with employers.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
