How you will contribute to LifeNet Health’s success:
The LifeNet Health Foundation & Community Outreach Assistant supports the operations and administration of the foundation, helping to ensure the effective execution of its programs and activities. The role involves a variety of tasks including administrative support, financial record keeping, communication with donors and coordination of events and projects.
What you’ll do:
- Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support for the foundation. Manage and organize files, records, and documents. Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and correspondence.
- Handle incoming and outgoing email, mail, appointment and travel arrangements. Help maintain donor records and track financial contributions.
- Program and Event Coordination: Assist in the implementation and execution of Foundation events.
- Help prepare materials and documentation for events. Coordinate with program participants and stakeholders. Coordinate event coordination, venue booking, catering and invitations. Provide on-site support at community and fundraising events.
- Grant Support: Assist in grant application and review process. Maintain the records of grant applications and grantee reports. Help ensure compliance with grant requirements.
- Communication: Assist in drafting newsletters, donor letters, press releases and other communication materials. Ability to promote events on social media and external sites.
What you’ll bring (Minimum Requirements):
- High School Diploma.
- One (1) year of administrative or office experience.
Preferred Experience/Skills/Certifications:
- One (1) year of experience in a non-profit or foundation setting.
These would be nice too (Knowledge Skills and Abilities):
- Organizational Skills: manage multiple tasks without oversight. An initiative-taker and ability to be initiative-taking in identifying areas of improvement is needed.
- Business Acumen: Basic understanding of budgeting and financial record keeping. Ability to track and report expenses. Able to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity. Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Teamwork and collaboration: Ability to work effectively as a part of a team, providing support as needed. Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and external donors. Ability to interact respectfully and effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and a genuine interest and commitment to the Foundation.
