SecOps Engineering Manager

RVO Health is seeking a SecOps Engineering Manager to join our team. In this role, you will provide direction, mentorship, and leadership to the Security Operations team. You will support and develop our defensive security capabilities and own our incident response strategy end to end. You will partner with engineering teams and find ways to develop and improve processes for incident detection, triage, and resolution.

What You’ll Do

• Leadership: Attract, onboard, and retain diverse top talent. Develop people and teams through coaching, mentoring, and management support. Conduct regular 1:1, goal setting, and feedback conversations with engineers to ensure their well-being and team health and support them in their learning and development. Continuously work to improve inclusion and belonging on your team and within our organization.
• Organizational work: Produce high-quality written and verbal communications, recommendations, and findings to management. Provide input and help shape company-wide security policies, standards, and initiatives. You will recommend automated and proactive security measures to help improve our security posture.
• Technical work: Develop and implement a Security Operations team in a multi-cloud environment that oversees the response, investigation, and resolution of security incidents. Take an engineering approach to infrastructure and operations, solving security problems with software and automation; and apply product-thinking to the tools & processes your team provides. Stay up to date with vulnerabilities that may apply to RVO Health and define and implement mitigation techniques to improve our overall risk posture.
• Teamwork: Work with all Health businesses and key stakeholders to understand business objectives.

What We’re Looking For

• You have at least two years of experience building and leading security operations teams, with effective results. Your experience includes hiring, as well as having engineers directly reporting to you and supporting their growth.
• You have deep expertise in security and delivering solutions that meet business objectives while improving our security posture.
• 5+ years of experience with forensic analysis and incident detection and response 
• 5+ years of experience with security logging and monitoring and vulnerability scanning and remediation, with 1 year in a regulated environment (HIPAA preferred)
• Experience in cloud-native security tooling such as AWS Guardduty, Wiz.io, Security Hub, and AWS Config
• Foundational understanding of major security disciplines including defensive, offensive, architecture, and secure software development

Pursuant to various state Fair Pay Acts, below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company. The following benefits are provided by RVO Health, subject to eligibility requirements.

• Starting Salary: $150,000 - $203,000 
  *Note actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications and experience

This position may occasionally require travel for training and other work-related duties.
