Job DetailsJob Location: Fort Myers, FL 33916Job Category: Administrative Juniper is Growing! We are seeking a HR Compliance & Benefits Partner for our Corporate HR Team. ​​​​​​The HR Compliance and Benefits Specialist is responsible for administering the Company’s employee benefits programs and ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations. This role serves as a key resource for employees and leaders by providing guidance and support related to benefits, HR compliance, and immigration requirements, including I-9 and E-Verify. The position also conducts compliance audits, maintains accurate and confidential employee records, supports vendor and open enrollment activities, and partners with HR leadership on process improvements and assigned projects, including those related to acquisitions and organizational growth.

Responsibilities:


Manage and administer all employee benefits programs (health, retirement, leave, and supplemental offerings), including enrollments, terminations, life event changes, employee education, vendor coordination, system administration, invoice reconciliation, and issue resolution.
Lead annual open enrollment planning and execution, including employee communications, training materials, enrollment support, and coordination with brokers, carriers, and third-party administrators.
Manage relationships with benefit carriers, brokers, and third-party administrators, ensuring service quality, issue resolution, and timely escalation of recurring concerns.
Support employee wellness initiatives by assisting with program design, communication, engagement activities, and ongoing administration.
Serve as the subject matter expert for immigration compliance, including I-9 and E-Verify administration, regulatory monitoring, internal audits, training, and ensuring accurate completion and retention practices.
Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and benefits-related regulations (including ERISA, ACA, and HIPAA), including maintaining a compliance calendar and supporting documentation for audits, claims, filings, and agency inquiries (DOL, EEOC, USCIS, etc.), as assigned.
Conduct HR compliance audits and assessments across HR and benefits processes, identify gaps or risk areas, implement corrective actions, and escalate non-compliance trends to HR leadership.
Serve as the primary point of contact for employee and manager inquiries related to benefits, HR compliance, and immigration documentation, ensuring timely resolution or escalation as needed.
Coordinate and deliver training and communications on benefits, immigration compliance, and HR compliance requirements to ensure consistent understanding and execution across the organization.
Maintain accurate employee documentation and records, including personnel files, benefits documentation, and I-9 forms, ensuring proper storage, confidentiality, and retention compliance.
Assist with onboarding new employees related to mergers & acquisitions, visa programs, new start-up projects, and other enterprise initiatives.
Support the payroll team with weekly payroll processing during periods of high volume, acquisitions, or coverage gaps, as needed.
Support the HR team with maintaining and updating HR and payroll procedures, process documentation, and standardized workflows, and by leading assigned projects that improve compliance, efficiency, and operational consistency.
Follow and promote safety policies, practices, and procedures to ensure safe working conditions and behaviors are maintained and assist with safety investigations and corrective actions related to safety hazards or incidents.
Support the payroll team with processing payroll during periods of high volume, acquisitions, or coverage gaps, as needed.
Supports the Director of Human Resources with administrative, reporting, and operational tasks, including preparing reports, coordinating initiatives, and assisting with ad hoc requests to support departmental priorities.
Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field, preferred. 
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR compliance, benefits administration, and/or payroll administration.
• Must be willing to complete advanced training, including any applicable certifications, related to I-9 administration within 2 years of employment.
• Strong knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to benefits administration, HR compliance, and immigration requirements (including ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, I-9, and E-Verify).
• Experience with HRIS systems and payroll software preferred.
• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive employee and company information.
