About the role

Description

CTG is seeking an experienced Healthcare Project Manager focusing on Health Information Exchange (HIE) for a remote role.

 

Location: Remote

Duration: 6 months

 

Duties:

  • Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
    • Work with healthcare providers, HIE organizations, and other stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for health information exchange.
    • Document and validate workflows, ensuring they meet ONC standards and support seamless data exchange.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Standards:
    • Ensure that HIE solutions comply with ONC regulations and standards, including those related to interoperability, data privacy, and security.
    • Stay informed about updates to ONC guidelines and policies, and implement necessary changes in the HIE systems.
  • Interoperability and Data Standards:
    • Promote the use of standardized protocols such as HL7, FHIR, and CDA for data exchange.
    • Work on integrating disparate health IT systems to facilitate the smooth flow of information across platforms.
  • Data Management and Quality Assurance:
    • Monitor and analyze data exchanges to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
    • Implement data validation and quality assurance processes to maintain high data integrity within the HIE.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
    • Serve as a bridge between healthcare providers, IT teams, and regulatory bodies to ensure alignment on HIE initiatives.
    • Communicate technical requirements and solutions in an understandable manner to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Project Management:
    • Lead or contribute to HIE projects, from planning and design through to implementation and evaluation.
    • Develop project plans, manage timelines, and ensure adherence to budgets.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify and recommend improvements to HIE processes and workflows.
    • Implement best practices to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve data exchange reliability.
  • Training and Support:
    • Provide training to healthcare staff and other users on HIE systems and processes.
    • Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting for HIE-related issues.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in HIE platforms and technologies.
  • Strong understanding of HIE policy and Consent
  • Has been part of strategic thinking with HIE stakeholders
  • 5 years plus of experience supporting or working at a HIE
  • Experience working with Federal Exchange or QHINs  
  • Familiarity with interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, CDA, XDS).
  • Knowledge of data analytics and database management.
  • Deep understanding of ONC regulations and standards for health information exchange.
  • Awareness of healthcare privacy and security requirements (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to translate technical jargon into layman's terms for diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience managing HIE or healthcare IT projects.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $115,000 to $140,000.  Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.  In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
