As a Data Governance Officer - Associate in Data Governance team, you will be engaged in varied and demanding tasks and you will be required to demonstrate the ability to work independently, as well as interact with various stakeholders and internal clients on a local and regional level. You will be integral to supporting to shape and develop the data control environment for JPMSE.  In this role, you will be predominantly involved in the review and processing of user access requests, periodic user access recertification, information gathering related to audit requests, monthly management reporting and participation in projects related to user access controls. 

Job responsibilities

  • Reviews and approves of user access requests (add, modify or remove) for applications containing JPMSE confidential data as well as periodic recertification of user access. 
  • Exercises a high degree of initiative and independent judgment in coordinating and prioritizing work
  • Supports the maintenance of comprehensive and detailed User Access Request Guides for the team
  • Participates in projects related to User Access Entitlements, which may include automation efforts and analysis and redefine Access Profiles for Applications
  • Is responsible for information gathering of User Access Entitlements and Recertification tasks completed to meet Internal and External Audit requests for information
  • Takes care for change management in partnership with Technology to identify and control applications being added to the JPMSE inventory
  • Supports global, regional and local projects to deliver a robust governance and access management control framework

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • At least 4 years of experience in the financial services industry (mandatory requirement)
  • Proven experience in highly matrixed organization, with knowledge of operational and data governance (mandatory requirement)
  • Knowledge of Identity and Access Management structures/processes such as Access controls, entitlement certification and user access removal (mandatory requirement)
  • Highly motivated, energetic self-starter who takes ownership of issues and drives them to resolution
  • Excellent communication with the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present information in differing degrees of detail and form depending on the audience
  • Strong team player with excellent partnering and influencing skills, able to follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work
  • Investigative mindset, strong analytical, problem solving, and process re-engineering skills and experience using data mining tools
  • Education to degree level (or equivalent)
  • Excellent Excel, PowerPoint and preferably SharePoint skills
