As a Graphic Designer at Nortek Data Center Cooling, you will work closely with technical writers, engineers, and product managers to develop product illustrations that will be used in conjunction with written text to describe components, machine assembly & installation procedures, and service & replacement procedures for product end-user contentThis position will be responsible for manipulating 3D engineering models and using electrical and piping schematics and submittal documentation to identify product components relevant to end-user content, determine the appropriate order of “step” illustrations to show a procedure from end to end, and publish illustrations of an appropriate quality for customer-facing documentation

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop clear, detailed, and easy-to-follow illustrations to accompany work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing processes, equipment uses and assembly tasks.
  • Review and edit existing illustrations to ensure they are up to date with any process.
  • Maintain a comprehensive and organized library of illustrations, working files, and machine model assemblies.
  • Work closely with product managers, engineering, and manufacturing teams to gather information and verify information concerning components and assembly/replacement processes.
  • Conduct interviews with subject matter experts (SME’s) to understand complex manufacturing processes and translate them into simple instructional illustrations.
