Latvian Speaking E-commerce Assistant (evening shift, part-time)

MakesYouLocal helps webshops to expand and succeed abroad. Several of our clients are focusing on markets across Europe, including Latvia, which is why we are looking for new colleagues to join our Latvian team!

In this position, you will play an important part in our clients’ success in the Latvian market. Together with the team, you will help webshops with various tasks - mainly customer service, but also translations and social media monitoring. The position teaches you a lot about international e-commerce and gives you an opportunity to grow into more senior positions over time.

What we expect from our next colleague

We are looking for people with a positive attitude and a genuine desire to help customers. Experience in a relevant field such as e-commerce, customer service, retail, hospitality or similar is a plus, however, the most important thing is a willingness to learn.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

• Customer service (phone, chat, email) with Latvian customers

• Social media monitoring on behalf of clients (webshops)

• Occasional translations of various webshop texts into Latvian

• Providing feedback to clients and team to optimise the customer experience

Requirements: 

• Fluent/native written and spoken Latvian
• Good command of English (written and spoken)
• Ability to work evenings Monday - Friday (16:30 - 21:00)
• Relevant work experience or willingness to learn about e-commerce, customer service and translation
• To be comfortable using a computer
• The ability to translate English-Latvian / Latvian-English is considered an advantage
• The possibility to work as a self-employed person and send us monthly invoices for payment (the work agreement will be on a freelancer basis)
