This advertisement is for the Operational Support Services Section. This advertisement is for a OPS Background Investigator position which is a SWORN position.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or its equivalent.

• ACTIVE Certified Florida Law Enforcement Officer; Possess a passing score on the State of Florida Law Enforcement Certification Examination and be eligible to receive the Law Enforcement Certification; or completed the Florida Equivalency of Training (CJSTC 76) and be eligible to receive the Law Enforcement Certification in accordance with Section 943.13, Florida Statutes.
• Three (3) or more years of sworn law enforcement experience
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Experienced in investigative backgrounds.
• VALID Driver’s License from the Florida Department of Safety and Motor Vehicles by time of employment.

 

 Preferences:

• A degree from an accredited college or university.

• Experience conducting fact-finding interviews with members of the public to gather information.
• Experience in working in a law enforcement agency or a government investigative agency.
• Special consideration may be given to eligible candidates who have bilingual verbal and written skills that meet a critical need of the agency’s mission.
