Position Overview
The Illinois Department of Natural Resources is looking to hire an Account Technician II. This position performs a variety of technical accounting and fiscal duties and supports the Office of Law Enforcement. The ideal candidate would be responsible for all expenditure processing; timekeeping; reports and a variety of other duties as assigned. We welcome interested applicants to apply today.
Essential Functions
- Under direction, independently analyzes and verifies the Agency's complex voucher payments
- Reviews and corrects monthly reports
- Maintains expenditure processing files for internal/external and federal audits and use purposes
- Assists with budget information and accounts
- Serves as section back-up timekeeper as needed
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of two years of college and one year of technical accounting experience or four years of related clerical bookkeeping experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two (2) years of extensive knowledge of accounting techniques.
- Two (2) yeas of extensive knowledge of office methods and procedures.
- One (1) year of experience in applying established accounting methods and techniques.
