Civil Designer

Civil Designer (Multiple Positions) (Stantec Consulting Services Inc.; Lake Mary, FL): Perform engineering design tasks on assigned FDOT-related projects under the supervision of the Project Engineer or Project Manager. Prepare engineering drawings for roadway and drainage plans, engineering reports, and required applications for regulatory agencies. Participate in the design and construction of transportation engineering projects and provide input as needed. Prepare geometric analysis and calculations in support of designs. Support permitting process of projects including meeting with clients, contractors, and reviewing agency personnel. Coordinate with regulatory reviewers to seek final approval. 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.). Individuals in the position may be paid a discretionary bonus. #LI-DNI #GTM
Requirements:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor’s, progressive related work experience; OR a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience.
Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience with the following: Preparing technical documentation for engineering projects; Roadway design, analysis, and development; and Design software including AutoCad Civil 3D and Geographic Information System (GIS).
Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days a week.
