Position Description:
The Business Development Manager is a unique opportunity for the right professional who is ready for steady and fast-paced career growth and assumes the responsibility of being the liaison between Rockpoint, surgical facilities, hospitals, doctors, and patients. You will facilitate a variety of requests related to Rockpoint’s products and service offerings and actively discuss ways to add value to our clients.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Expands current vendor selection and secures brand new selections for multiple subcategories
- Focuses on solving issues between law firms, medical vendors, doctors, and facilities on behalf of Rockpoint
- Assists in negotiations to deliver top-and bottom-line growth in coordination with the Director of Medical Operations
- Builds long-term relationships by creating value, opportunities for growth, customer acquisition, and brand-building for multiple vendors
- Increases vendor participation through deep knowledge of program opportunities
- Work with external and internal stakeholders to coordinate surgeries, treatments, MRIs, pain injections, TBI care, and/or other procedures, as deemed necessary
- Coordinating with various medical providers, surgical facilities, and patients to obtain medical information, advising relevant stakeholders of approvals or denials, and following up on procedures and surgeries
- Assisting in preparing and coordinating the execution of various contracts needed for a procedure
- Working with medical facilities to obtain billing information for timely payment
- Monitoring and staying informed of all active and pending medical applications
- Keeping applications moving continuously
- Processing payments to the doctors and facilities
- Using a high level of attention to detail to ensure appointments, medical details, and payment instructions are communicated correctly
- Performs additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:

This individual should have high intelligence, be comfortable with uncertainty, have interpersonal skills, and have the ability to read between the lines and ask the right questions. He/she must possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to explain and demonstrate that he/she can perform the job's essential functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.

- Personable when dealing with clients, vendors, and third parties alike;
- Be discreet with patients’ health information and comports to HIPAA standards;
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, listening, writing);
- Ability to communicate effectively through emails;
- Intermediate to advanced computer and data entry skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet);
- Ability to work well alone and in a team;
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology;
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred with at least one year of similar experience;
- Experience in the legal field and knowledge of personal injury law is a plus;
- This opportunity seeks someone who is a highly motivated individual who can work professionally in an office partially and who can travel to see doctors and facilities in our network and in the surrounding geography of Southern California
