Project Manager in Community and Natural Resources Research

Overview

The person hired into this position will serve as manager for multiple research and engagement projects conducted in Dr. Courtney Flint's lab (Society, Community and Natural Resources or SCaNR Lab). The position focuses on providing technical assistance with an emphasis on communication, data collection and management, and report writing.

 

This position is telework eligible within the State of Utah.

Responsibilities

• Compilation of reports, including graphic design.
• Help with coordinating, conducting, and transcribing interviews for multiple projects
• Qualitative data analysis (coding and collating open ended survey questions)
• Correspondence with city partners across Utah for survey coordination
• Overall project support and help with project management

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Strong organizational skills are required.
• Strong writing skills for general and professional audiences are required.
• Strong communication skills are required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Some social science education and research experience is preferred.
• Experience with report writing and moderate graphic design is preferred.

Advertised Salary

Minimum $20/hour, higher possible commensurate with experience

Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not necessarily, and may experience occasional temperature changes.  The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions.
