QA Completions Lead Day 

Location: HULL

Duties included within this role, but not limited to the following (additional tasks may be given to the Quality Lead at the discretion of the Maintenance Manager or Contract Manager, if deemed appropriate):

  • Owner of the QMS, Quality Plans, Inspection Test Plans (ITP) and Quality Audit schedule
  • Owner of the NCR process including correction and corrective actions.
  • Owner of the TQ process (Initiate and close out)
  • Responsible for the all Quality functions across the contract (Mechanical, Fabrication, SIP, E&I)
  • Responsible for all integrity registers and integrity related issues across the contract
  • Responsible for the Management of defect registers and subsequent performance management
  • Responsible for traceability of all materials and Quality related activities on the contract
  • Responsible for stores quality functions, material checks, material certification, consumable checks and levels.
  • Responsible for the release of assets for commissioning through the clients INS process
  • Responsible for the calibration and recertification of measuring equipment, welding equipment, lifting equipment (through the riggers).
  • Responsible for all reporting pertinent to the work scope (Mechanical, Fabrication, Blast, Paint, Lagging, F91 and vendor)
  • Responsible for conducting the function of a Quality Assurance Leader Auditor across multi discipline teams
  • Engaging in bid evaluations and estimate review on large scale events such as TARs and Events.
  • Prepare and review fabrication packs and supporting Quality documentation.
  • Review and supplement mechanical and civil work packs with supporting Quality documentation.
  • Responsible for the preparation and implementation of “Project Punch List / Job Completion Walkouts”.
  • Responsible for the review of Electrical, Instrument, SIPS and Civil documentation and work packs
  • Provide Quality related technical review and support for maintenance work scopes at planning stage
  • Conduct Quality Control support for active work scopes with routine welding and mechanical inspections on site and in fabrication shop
  • Liaise with sub-vendors, Client Engineers & Inspection in relation to submission of documentation and Quality requirements for maintenance scope
  • Efficiently co-ordinate and manage document work flow between departments, vendors and Client
  • Manage welder qualification and B-UK weld procedures relevant to scope of work
  • Manage all WPQR and PQR requirements along with associated pre-job qualifications
  • Actively promote Quality System awareness and work processes
  • Conduct post work reviews upon requests – 5 Whys, 8D and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
  • Conduct work related investigations and use Bilfinger reporting system (ACTIVE) to log issues and subsequent closeout
  • Adhere to Client engineering (PRS) specification, (MP) Management Procedures and MEMS process
  • Assess workloads and needs for inspections and coating of pipe and steel works
  • Co-ordinate and advise guidance on material certification, welding, NDT and other Quality requirements as dictated by piping specification, Client specification and industry standards and codes
  • Ensure all quality documentation/records are maintained within the Clients Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) SAP & file storage server (ECM)
  • Contribute to the improvement and technical capabilities of the Company
  • Support existing, strong workshop & site HSE Culture
  • Ability to work on challenging timelines and have the agility to readily switch focus when priorities change
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to the role through the notification of improvement activities
