Arthrex is a global medical device company and leader in orthopedics medical education. As we continue to grow, our Human Resources team is recruiting for a Sr. Employee Relations Specialist to support our corporate business at our Naples and Fort Myers campuses. This position will provide professional level of Human Resources background and experience to carry out responsibilities in employee relations in corporate, warehouse and logistics environments. The Sr. Employee Relations Specialist will be a hands-on partner supporting people leader discussions and overseeing the successful resolution of employee relations matters. They will also lead employee engagement activities and share best practices within the organization to support a positive work environment. Ideally, our candidate will have seven plus years’ experience in Employee Relations or HR Generalist role with strong problem resolution, computer, and communication skills. A Bachelor’s degree is also required. This position will be onsite position. Flexibility will be needed to work at both Naples and Fort Myers campuses. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Advise employees and management on the interpretation of personnel policies, programs, and procedures, including those in the company’s Employee Resource Guide.
  • Monitor and advise on documents used to evaluate, correct, and enhance job performance and other workplace behaviors assuring EEO compliance, overall fairness and consistency, and meeting business requirements.
  • Lead employee relations, EEO, regulatory audits and other workplace investigations.
  • Advise and facilitate resolution of employee relations issues.
  • Review employee evaluations and support the performance review process with supervisors and employees.
  • Perform exit interviews.
  • Facilitate the employee separation process, including termination documentation and meetings, pre- and post- exit.
  • Provide coaching and consulting to supervisors to enhance their people and performance management skills.
  • Support and facilitate organizational change by seeking and developing ways for HR and business teams to be most effective.
  • Able to speak and present to large and small groups for training and advice.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors’ Degree required.
  • Seven years or more of Human Resources experience in an Employee Relations or Generalist role required.
  • Experience in a 2000+ employee Corporate/Logistics environment preferred.
  • PHR, SPHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

  • Honesty, integrity, and strong knowledge of HR principles, EEO laws and regulations.
  • Ability to investigate and bring closure to complex HR issues. 
  • Must have excellent writing skills and be able to prepare investigation reports in both detail and summary form.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.
  • Must have an analytical mind that provides creative solutions to day-to-day problems, and an ability to relate to employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to multi-task within a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to embrace change and suggest creative innovative solutions as it relates to the business needs.
  • Able to manage highly confidential information and appreciate the absolute requirement of discretion with sensitive employee and corporate information.

 

 Machine, Tools and/or Equipment Skills:

  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with SAP Success Factors and/or HR Acuity is a plus.

 

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to problem solve and handle sensitive issues. 
  • Ability to handle situations during a crisis. 
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
