Vehicle Software Test Technician

Our experience encompasses virtually every type of automotive test facility, including climatic and driveability wind tunnels; aerodynamic, acoustic, and thermodynamic wind tunnels; emissions test rooms; soak rooms; altitude chambers; engine and powertrain test cells; and electromagnetic anechoic chambers. We not only design and build these facility systems assets but also operate, maintain, and manage these facilities.

We are looking for a Software Vehicle Fleet Technician for the test lab in Allen Park, MI.  

This position is perfect for an auto enthusiast who has knowledge of voltage, current, resistance and electric circuits.  Some experience is required, and we will train the right candidate. 

BRIEF OUTLINE OF SPECIFIC ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES     

• Perform validation tests on vehicles/subsystems
• Review vehicle subsystem performance through review of technical specifications and owners/operating manuals
• Follow test scripts to verify subsystems operate to design intent
• Follow scripted testing and support development of independent test strategies
• Monitor vehicle response and log data through in-vehicle data bus/data acquisition software
• Isolate and log vehicle anomalies and document test information

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND /OR SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Required:

• High School Diploma
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient with computer programs (Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
  • Excel VBA a plus
• Knowledgeable of cell phone and navigation operating systems
