What you do:

The CEO, AIM LLC & Head of Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) serves as the executive owner

responsible for the strategy, governance, and performance of AIM LLC as a registered investment

adviser (RIA) and the firm’s ETF platform. This role owns the end-to-end direction of ETF strategy,

product development, capital markets, and the operating model, ensuring strong regulatory discipline and scalable execution. The role provides oversight of core ETF functions, including fund operations,

systems, trading, and risk management and partners closely with ETF Sales and Marketing leadership

through a dotted-line model to drive effective commercialization and platform growth. As the enterprise leader and external representative (“face of ETF”), this role engages senior stakeholders, the Fund Board, and external partners to advance the ETF platform’s strategy, performance, and market position.  This role will report to the CEO of Allianz Investment Management (AIM) U.S. and Chief Investment Officer of Allianz Life.

 

ETF Strategy & Platform Leadership:

  • Define and lead the ETF vision, strategy, and long-term growth agenda.
  • Own the product roadmap, including market positioning, pipeline prioritization, and competitive differentiation.
  • Align priorities across product, capital markets, operations, and go to-market functions.

 

Product Development & Capital Markets Leadership:

  • Lead end-to-end ETF product development, from concept through launch and lifecycle management.
  • Oversee capital markets strategy, including liquidity, trading quality, and ecosystem relationships.
  • Ensure alignment between product design, portfolio construction, and market execution.

 

Distribution & Marketing Alignment:

  • Establish go-to-market strategy, priorities, and success measures in partnership with ETF Sales and Marketing leadership.
  • Ensure consistent product positioning, advisor enablement, and commercialization execution across channels.
  • Support distribution strategy across platforms, partnerships, and client segments.

 

AIM LLC Operations, Risk & Governance:

  • Serve as CEO of AIM LLC, accountable for RIA governance, regulatory compliance, and operating integrity for ETF and VA Fund businesses.
  • Has overall accountability for: Fund Systems, Fund Administration, Fund Operations, Trade Operations and Derivative Risk Management.
  • Ensure strong risk management, control environment, vendor oversight, and Fund Board engagement.

 

Business Performance, Growth & External Leadership:

  • Own financial performance, scalability, and growth outcomes of the ETF platform.
  • Lead ETF-focused business development, including partnerships and platform expansion.
  • Serve as the external face of ETFs, representing the platform with clients, partners, industry forums, and the Fund Board.
  • Utilization of artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g. generative AI).

 

 

What you bring:

  • 11+ years of experience required:  In ETFs and/or asset management with exposure to product, distribution, and capital markets. Proven leadership experience with end-to-end accountability for a business, platform, or major function. Deep understanding of the ETF ecosystem, including product development, trading, and distribution dynamics. Strong executive presence with experience engaging senior leadership, boards, and external stakeholders.
  • Four year degree required: Business, Finance, Accounting or equivalent.
  • Clear U4 record required.  (Series 7; Series 65; Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation preferred.)
  • You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring immigration sponsorship now or in the future. This includes holders of H-1B, H4, L-1, L-2, TN, OPT, CPT, and other nonimmigrant visas.
