Glenwood, Inc., a progressive multi-site agency provides a full range of services for children and adults with autism and other mental health needs is seeking an Accountant. The ideal candidate is someone who wants to make a difference in the quality of life of the people we serve and their families. This position reports to the Director of Finance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Oversee timely and accurate Medicaid Waiver billing and reconciliation to support vital client services.
  • Ensure financial integrity through precise coding, reporting, and reconciliation of deposits and accounts.
  • Partner with program and development teams to maintain accurate records and transparent reporting.
  • Prepare financial reports, assist with audits, and contribute to grant and contract compliance.
  • Manage billing and revenue processes to optimize cash flow and support organizational growth.
  • Administer food and nutrition program claims and allocations in accordance with federal guidelines.
  • Support patient accounts, monthly reporting, and account reviews with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Contribute to special projects and cross-departmental initiatives that strengthen financial operations.
  • Provide dependable backup support across accounting functions, fostering a collaborative team environment.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
  • Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with staff, and individuals.

 

LICENSURE & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field, required.
  • At least three years of related experience required.
