About the role

Job Description

Our Global Privacy Office (GPO) is a team dedicated to addressing privacy and data protection on a global scale. 

The Associate Director, Global Privacy Operations, Data Subject Requests (DSR) position oversees the end-to-end global DSR process, through which our Company honors the data rights of and requests from individuals around the world.

The future incumbent of this position ensures regulatory compliance and operational excellence by managing the DSR process through a global network of privacy stewards and database owners. The role also involves setting the strategic roadmap for the DSR process, keeping our privacy operations on track of process and technological advances, service models, and best practices. The role requires balancing delivery, operational efficiency, and enhancing the user and process practitioner experience.

  • DSR Strategic Roadmap: develops and ensures the realization of the Global Privacy Office’s DSR strategy across all applicable locations. Stays current on best practices and optimal DSR service models, ensuring process readiness for regulatory compliance.

  • DSR Process & Technology: defines the plan for the global DSR process, including SOPs, KPIs, and roles. Oversees process changes and new features, coordinating with IT on maintaining technologies and support plans.

  • DSR Escalation, Awareness, and Consulting: Serves as the escalation point for complex DSRs and process localizations. Supports a network of Privacy Stewards and Database Owners with process documents, best practices, training, and communications.

  • DSR Data & Analytics: Provides DSR insights through dashboards and reports, analyzing trends for data-driven decisions on process resourcing.

  • Operational Initiatives Leadership: leads key operational projects, including a new process for managing supplier privacy contract templates.

Position location:

  • We offer Hybrid Work Model (combination of 3 days In-office & 2 days offsite/remote).

  • Applicant must have ability to work from either of our sites in Rahway, Upper Gwynedd, London, Paris, Bogota, Madrid, London, Dublin, Brussels, Vilnius, Prague.

  • The role cannot be 100% remote.

Education: Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant experience

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Privacy and Data Protection Operations, or related fields, as well as experience in operational excellence, process design, program management for a large global company.

  • Demonstrated record and proven ability to lead complex, international projects.

  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Strong, proactive business leadership skills, and ability to direct others toward action.

  • Experience in transformational processes and service.

  • Experience in change management, training and communications

  • Building and managing strategic internal and external relationships

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Experience with managing DSR service providers on a global scale.

  • Experience with onboarding databases and systems to DSR processes and ensuring readiness of database owners to handle data requests of deletion, access, correction etc.

  • Certifications with the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), such as CIPM, CIPP/US, or other related certifications.

  • Experience with DSR in the employment context, e.g. employees, candidates.
