Join Cenovus Energy Inc. as a Downstream Crude Processing and Separations Process Technology subject matter expert. In this role, you will have an outstanding opportunity to be the recognized authority in downstream business fractionation and crude unit operations, driving world-class solutions. We are looking for an ambitious and proven expert to provide technical assurance and help shape balanced, efficient solutions that meet both internal and external compliance requirements. Your impact could be up to $100 million per year in optimized expenditures and reduced profit losses! Preference to individuals who currently reside or can relocate to Dublin, OH, or any of the US Cenovus Refineries. (Lima, OH; Toledo, OH; Superior, WI)

What you’ll do:

• Develop a technology plan for improving our fractionation system and crude unit operations.
• Identify and implement improvements for process safety, compliance, and reliability.
• Lead the Community of Practice for crude unit operations, improving knowledge and adherence to engineering standards.
• Provide technical assurance on projects related to crude unit operation, desalting, and furnace operations.
• Mentor and develop technical resources on troubleshooting and standardization across downstream assets.
• Build and deliver technical training programs for unit engineers and operations staff.

Who you are:

• Legally authorized to work in the US
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• 20+ years of downstream unit operations and technical experience
• 5+ years of specialized experience in crude operations, desalting, and separation technologies
• Knowledge of unit operations across multiple facilities and technical training in specific unit operations
