REPORTS TO: Camp Hospitality Manager
SUPERVISES: n/a
STATUS: non-exempt on call
SCHEDULE: Varies, as needed
FUNCTION: cook, serve and maintain kitchen for rental groups throughout the off season.
Responsibilities
- Cooks and prepares meals depending on the needs of the group- bake, fry, slice, washing and peeling vegetables, storing food, food prep, and maintaining a clean and tidy work area.
- Follow all health department guidelines and regulations
- Work in harmony with other cooks and food service staff
- Follow USDA requirements
- Follow proper food handling requirements
- Monitor the correct cooking temperatures for food
- Monitor and record temperature charts for all fridges and freezers
- Preparation and service for all meals and snacks, making sure that they are properly prepared, on time, and that there is enough food for the amount of people to be served
- Clean, care for and properly maintain the kitchen and work equipment
- Sweep, mop and general cleaning of kitchen area
- Assist in receiving ,rotating and putting away of all stock
Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Possession of 3 years experience of food service knowledge and/or training
