The Senior Manager, Compliance Governance & Operations leads, develops and oversees a dynamic team of Compliance CGO professionals who conduct support, facilitation and coordination for the management of Compliance. They may also provide specialized project support or services within Compliance.
Department Overview:
The Client Outreach Lead is responsible for strategically managing and driving customer outreach initiatives to ensure comprehensive compliance with regulatory requirements. This role involves coordinating with internal teams to gather necessary KYC documentation and ensuring that all processes align with the company policies and regulatory standards. The KYC outreach lead plays a crucial role in mitigating financial crimes risks and maintaining customer trust.
Depth & Scope:
- Provides people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as required
- Oversees and leads a highly complex, and diverse function for an area of significant risk, complexity or scope
- Strategic partner to the leadership team on the management of the assigned portfolio and related financials, with deep industry, external/internal, enterprise knowledge, recognizing and anticipating emerging trends and; identifying operational efficiencies and opportunities with other business management/enterprise areas
- Facilitates key strategic discussions and provides thought leadership to executive audience (output may include strategic roadmap and/or deliverables/frameworks/short to long term goals, etc.)
- Sets operational team direction and collaborates with others to execute on common goals
- Focuses on longer-range planning for functional area
Education & Experience:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years of experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years of relevant financial services industry experience including significant focus on supporting KYC or executing KYC, and/or compliance related functions.
- Solution oriented, with ability to navigate a large organization and make assessments and decisions with sometimes vague, incomplete, or partial context/parameters.
- Independent thinker with exceptional analytical skills and strong business acumen.
- High degree of personal initiative, with strong influencing and leadership skills.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, including writing easy to follow procedures, job aids, and documents to support KYC requirements for all joiners to the KYC Operations Organization.
- Proven ability to work with and build strong relationships with stakeholders and colleagues.
- Undergraduate degree or training in Business, English, Social Sciences, Pre-Law, History, Political Science, or related disciplines.
- Excellent presentation skills and ability to explain complicated issues in simple terms
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Available for travel when and as needed.
