As we look to redefine expectations across our four key therapeutic areas, we need experienced, entrepreneurial-minded leaders to help us on this journey. GSK’s Organized Provider team is looking for a Business Director, Account Based Solutions.
The Organized Provider Account Strategy (OPAS) team within US Market Access is tasked with developing the strategy and engagement model required to drive enterprise performance and capitalize on growth potential in a critical customer segment: large, sophisticated Organized Providers (Health Systems). We are approaching enterprise collaborations differently to address patient-centered needs and deliver mutual benefits to GSK, to Organized Providers and to patients.
This role is a highly visible role within the OPAS and Market Access teams, reporting to the Head, Account Based Solutions. This role is responsible for thorough business understanding, performance evaluation frameworks, data-driven storytelling that drives strategic planning, execution and the OPAS internal performance narrative.
This role requires strong communication skills, data-driven decision making, strategic understanding and stakeholder relationship management and will require collaboration and coordination with several functions, including, Market Access Strategy, Brand Marketing, Finance, Forecasting, Commercial Insights, Business Unit and US Commercial Leadership Teams.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to the following.
- Lead the development of performance evaluation frameworks to assess account success, solution impact and organizational performance, collaborating closely with the Organized Provider Analytics Director, Market Access and USC Insights and Analytics teams
- Use performance evaluations to identify areas for improvement and growth, influence OPAS strategic and operational planning
- Enable performance-driven mindset across teams by working cross-functionally to ensure analytic tools are fit for purpose
- Collaborate with Account-Based Solutions team to create compelling data stories that track key performance indicators, ROI as appropriate and other success metrics, including collaboration impact
- Use these stories to provide insights into current performance, highlight wins and identify improvement opportunities
- Prepare and deliver regular performance reporting for US Commercial and BU leadership teams
- Work with Insights and Analytics as well as Organized Provider Analytics Director on establishing and enhancing capabilities related to sales force size & structure, account-level forecasting, real-world data analytics, performance dashboard management and commercial voice of customer
- Ensure seamless flow of information, learnings and insights to enhance team effectiveness
- Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders across various business units
- Ensure clear communication and alignment to drive cross-functional collaboration and support organizational goals
Why You?
Basic qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 4 years of pharmaceutical or healthcare industry experience (e.g., Account management, Business Insights, Marketing, Strategy)
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in defining, tracking, and analyzing key performance measures with a remit to make appropriate data-driven decisions.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in developing and delivering performance frameworks and narratives
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience managing P&L dashboards at the account and or market level.
Preferred qualifications:
- Direct line and or matrix leadership experience
- Business appropriate communication skills
- Proven ability to work with and influence brand marketing teams on key strategies and business plans.
- Experience influencing without direct authority across cross-functional teams, working effectively in complex situations.
- Proven competency in delivering compelling and clear performance narratives to leadership teams
- Ability to listen and incorporate different perspectives into interactions across medical, clinical, commercial, customer and other functions.
- Generates multiple novel ideas, solutions, and strategic options to deliver long-term benefits to customers and GSK.
- Deep knowledge of US healthcare trends, value-based care and health systems
