Silk is seeking a highly motivated, growth-focused, and results-driven Senior Product Manager. As a Senior Product Manager, you can connect the technical and business worlds to help chart Silk’s strategic vision. You will be responsible for understanding the needs, challenges, and operations of customers, driving the product strategy and business, and collaborating with marketing, sales, support, and engineering teams to deliver innovative and impactful solutions.
How you will make an impact:
- Lead business analysis efforts to identify, research, validate, and drive the company towards new growth opportunities
- Drive pricing and packaging conversations as part of active deal cycles
- Analyze cloud architectures and interview customers and prospects to find, understand, and convey Silk’s business value impact
- Engage with customers, prospects, and thought leaders to gather feedback and help fine-tune the product direction
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis. & translate insights from that research into product strategy and GTM team enablement materials
- Help shape the Silk go-to-market value proposition and market differentiators
- Be a subject matter expert on Silk’s product functionality who can explain complex technological solutions in simple layman terms and convey our capabilities to prospects, customers, field sellers and partners, regularly presenting to audiences both large and small
- Encourage customer adoption of Silk’s latest functionality through leading and editing the development of product documentation and other enablement materials, in partnership with SMEs in Support and Engineering.
- Partner with Marketing, Product Marketing, and other GTM teams on strategy and plans for launches, product positioning, and more
- Support Marketing and Product Marketing efforts to build pipelines, through content creation efforts for both internal audiences (Sales, Business Development, etc.) and external audiences (prospects, partners, customers, market analysts).
- Measure and monitor product Key Performance Indicator (KPIs), product usage, and feedback, and feed that data back into the organization to drive improvement
- Provide direct product engagement as a trusted advisor and SME to our largest and most complex customers
- Serve as a positive, dynamic team-player that displays the best work ethic, creative problem-solving skills, positive attitude, and proactive approach
You will enjoy this role if:
- You have previous B2B enterprise software experience and 5+ years working as a product manager in with preferred experience in database, storage, or cloud (at least one preferred))
- You thrive on leveraging data - both qualitative and quantitative - to shape and refine your efforts. You can communicate insights to leadership, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making.
- You demonstrate strong technical knowledge with the ability to quickly learn new concepts
- You are self-disciplined, self-motivated, highly energized, and confident

- You’re a natural storyteller, and believe in clear, open and concise communication
- You build great interpersonal relationships; able to lead cross-company processes and build collaborative, impactful partnerships across geographically distributed teams
- Your deep customer empathy fuels your passion for understanding customer needs, challenges, and motivations. You have experience participating in enterprise sales cycles and customer conversations as a product or technical SME
- You are happy to travel and able to work in our Needham, MA office Tuesdays and Thursdays
- Preferred: Working knowledge of cloud-based environments / technologies
- Preferred: Start-up experience is not required, but has proven to help most team members succeed in this role
- Plus: Knowledge of databases and storage technologies and/or enterprise managed services
- Plus: Knowledge of FinOps
