Role Overview
The Program Coordinator - Community Programs coordinates daily community services, volunteers, and partnerships while ensuring high-quality program delivery, resource access, accurate reporting, and positive guest experiences.
 
The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Occasional weekend and holiday availability may be required.

Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee guest welcome and intake processes, ensuring a warm, organized, and inclusive experience for all participants. Manage on-site resource rooms or support spaces, including coordination of donations, inventory, and volunteer involvement. When applicable, coordinate food distribution or pantry operations to ensure high-quality service delivery and compliance with organizational standards. Lead and support daily volunteers, providing training, guidance, and coverage as needed to maintain smooth operations. Handle scheduling, communication, and logistical coordination for offsite staff, partners, and community engagement activities. Support leadership in maintaining consistent, high-quality program delivery across all meal services, resource programs, or community services initiatives.
  • Monitor program performance, volunteer engagement, and outcomes to drive continuous improvement. Use data and feedback to identify trends, resolve challenges, and highlight successes. Strengthen workflows and service delivery by applying insights to enhance program impact.
  • Represent Catholic Charities to guests, volunteers, community partners, and faith organizations. Build and maintain relationships with peer agencies and local faith communities in collaboration with the Director. Promote access to services and community connection through mission aligned engagement aligned.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to support coordinated service delivery and program alignment. Maintain accurate PQI data and ensure consistency with other Community Center Coordinators. Partner with Community Food, the Hub, and Faith in Action to advance integrated initiatives and shared goals.
  • Supervise and support assigned volunteers by setting clear expectations, providing guidance and feedback, fostering accountability, and cultivating a collaborative, positive, and purpose-driven team environment.
  • Engage in continuous learning to build skills and strengthen performance. Seek and apply feedback to enhance effectiveness and contribute to a culture of ongoing improvement.

PLEASE NOTE: Essential functions include all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Kneel and move from sitting, bending, kneeling, or standing multiple times a day
  • Climb up and down up to 3 flights of stairs at a time
  • Lift, push, and pull up to 25 lbs

Education and Experience Requirements:
Minimum
  • Associate's Degree (AA) in a related field of study 3-5 years relevant experience
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
  • Demonstrated success in partnership development, staff or volunteer support, and operational coordination.
  • Strong financial skills, including basic budget management.
  • Ability to lead teams with compassion, accountability, and strategic focus.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Commitment to CCAC's mission, values, and equitable, community-driven services solving abilities.
Preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in a related field of study 3-5 years relevant experience
  • Experience leading programs in a community center or multi‑service environment.
  • Familiarity with community engagement, outreach, and coalition‑building strategies.
