Responsibilities
The Physician Assistant is a licensed professional who has specialized skills, knowledge and experience in family practice assessments and follow-up and is duly authorized to perform designated acts of medical diagnosis, prescription of medical therapeutics and authorization corrective measures in collaboration with and under the supervision of a licensed physician. Effectively interacts with patients, and other staff, while maintaining standards of professional services, medical care and attention to detail. The Physician Assistant reports directly to the Medical Director and works closely with interdisciplinary leaders in the clinic and community to carry out the above-mentioned responsibilities.
Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. Current and valid PA licensed to work in Texas.2. Current BLS (AHA or ARC) upon hire and maintain current.3. ACLS (AHA or ARC) certification preferred.4. Minimum 2 years’ experience preferred.5. Eligible for license by the State Board of Pharmacy - Controlled Substance License.6. Eligible for Drug Enforcement Administration Registration7.
