This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations.We are seeking a motivated and analytical critical thinker who has a proven track record of developing solutions to operational challenges and opportunities to join our Engines Finance team. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will partner with stakeholders across program management, engineering, manufacturing, procurement, supply chain, and test operations to contribute to the growth and success of Blue Origin’s Engines business unit.
You will drive key initiatives to enhance the quality and timeliness of insights provided to business leadership, helping them understand financial product cost performance and trends. Additionally, you will develop tools to enable proactive financial management and provide insights to enable critical and informed business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and enhance operating and financial metrics to drive performance.
- Develop and maintain the Engines Product Cost Structure.
- Collaborate with business leaders for strategic decision-making and business improvements.
- Provide project and process management support.
- Create and present content for program, financial, and operations reviews.
- Optimize tools and processes for the Finance team.
- Support annual and multi-year financial planning.
- Manage program-level financial risk and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Analyze and report financial performance variances of actuals to budget and forecast.
- Maintain cost accounting frameworks.
Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient in ERP tools, financial databases, and accounting software.
- Ability to develop advanced Excel financial models based on multiple inputs, constraints, and scenarios.
- Experience in helping business leaders meet financial targets and deliver results.
- Understanding of underlying business processes and the impact of financial decisions.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and influencing abilities.
- Effective project management and prioritization skills.
- Excellent analytical, strategic, and critical thinking.
- High integrity, ethics, and judgment.
- Ability to foster trust and inclusive professional relationships.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or STEM.
- 8+ years of financial analysis experience.
- Experience with data mining and SQL.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong written communication and presentation skills.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Proficiency in Python and workflow automation tools (Alteryx, Databricks, Tableau Prep).
- Advanced analytical skills in statistics, Monte Carlo simulation, and machine learning.
- Proficiency in Tableau or Microsoft BI.
- Experience in financial management of high-rate production.
- Experience in industrial, manufacturing, engineering, or technology sectors.
Compensation Range for:
WA applicants is $120,850.00-$169,189.65Other site ranges may differ
