Selective Placement Factor (SPF): This position has an SPF which is current registration as a Professional Engineer(PE) or a Registered Architect from any state, the District of Columbia, Guam or Puerto Rico. Do you meet this requirement? Note - if you respond "YES", you must provide a copy of your current registration with your application. A copy of a wall certificate that does not show current registration status will not serve to verify you meet this requirement. In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Supervising and/or leading a team of engineers, architects, construction managers and technicians in performing the full range of multidisciplinary engineering responsibilities; 2) Overseeing engineering and architectural processes through the design management, construction management, project management, acceptance, and project close-out stages; 3) Providing technical engineering support to subordinates and staff; 4) Resolving engineering design problems to ensure mission accomplishment; and 5) Managing resources to include staffing requirements, capacity, and workload.
