We are looking for an enthusiastic scientist with a strong background in biomedical engineering.</p><p></p><p><b>Your role:</b></p><ul><li><p>You will be part of our Sleep &amp; Respiratory Care division based in Eindhoven and work with multi-disciplinary (global) teams on projects that focus on innovations for our Sleep &amp; Respiratory Care product portfolio.</p></li><li><p>You will have the opportunity to contribute to innovative solutions in the field of sleep and respiratory care, to test and validate them.</p></li><li><p>You will carry out industrial research, enlarging relevant knowledge and bringing in new knowledge in the area of respiratory diseases, sleep disorders and comorbidities.</p></li><li><p>You will support in protocol development for clinical studies validating propositions.</p></li><li><p>Creating intellectual property.</p></li><li><p>This flexible role offers you the opportunity to work with international teams, while benefiting from a hybrid working model (spend at least 3 days working from the office and up to 2 days from home).  <br/> </p></li></ul><p><b>You're the right fit if:</b></p><ul><li><p>You hold a Master’s or PhD degree in biomedical engineering, technical medicine or equivalent relevant degree.</p></li><li><p>You have at least 5 years of experience in an industrial research environment.</p></li><li><p>Experience with respiratory physiology is critical for this role and should have an understanding of the innovation opportunities, clinical needs, technology developments for respiratory care;</p></li><li><p>Background in setting up, running and evaluating clinical trials in collaboration with clinical partners is a plus;</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of chronic diseases such as COPD, OSA, heart failure, diabetes is a plus;</p></li><li><p>Experience with MATLAB, Simulink or Python is a plus</p></li><li><p>You are able to multi-task and can work independently as well as part of a team.</p></li><li><p>You have a hands-on attitude and are able to show initiative to improve projects and are able drive/manage them.</p></li></ul><p><br/><b>How we work together</b><br/>We believe that we are better together than apart. <span>This role is an office-based role which means working in-person at least 3 days per week.</span><br/><br/><b>About Philips</b><br/>We are a health technology company.
