Job Summary: 

Performs duties to start up, adjust and operate a tube drawbench to produce precision cold drawn tubing. Receives direction from shift Supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Confirms that tubing presented to drawbench conforms to order requirements, particularly job number and dimensions. 
• Select, install and adjust rods and tolling.
• Load tubing onto manual rods and operate drawbench to produce cold drawn tubing.
• Follow sample inspection procedure to verify tubing dimensions and OD ID surface finishes satisfy requirements.
• Scraps all set up tubing.
• Perform minor polishing of tooling if/when required.
• Accurately enters in all tag and production information into Apollo system.
• Communicates with other shifts regarding the status of operations and equipment.
• Assists maintenance repairmen in preventative or repair of the drawbench.
• Must be available for overtime as required.
• Maintain a CLEAN, ORGANIZED and SAFE work area.
• Various other duties as directed by shift Supervisor.

Minimum Education and/or Experience Requirements: 

• Good Mechanical Aptitude.                                                                                  
• Ability to read and understand a micrometer and other gauges necessary to conform to order.
• Ability to read and understand a tape measure.
