**The Role

 

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Category Manager. This role involves responsibility for the following categories of spend:

• Market place analysis
• Defining and implementing Category Management strategies
• Developing supplier programmes
• Managing supplier relationships
• Overseeing contract management activities

Additionally, the Category Manager will consider and implement any value engineering options.

 

Categories of responsibility will be - MSIP (Mechanical, Scaffolding, Insulation and Painting), and any other category as defined. The post holder will be responsible for £123m worth of spend over 1 contract. The category of spend is critical to the refinery operation to ensure reliability and production assurance.

 

Managing and driving strong relationships with senior stakeholders up to a Senior Leadership Level, with the supply chain and 3rd party stakeholders including, audit and partner or subsidiary companies.

 

The mentoring and training of staff, enabling them to achieve personal and professional fulfilment within the role and within EET Fuels.

• Implementation and management of a Category Management Programme and implementing a Supplier Relationship and Contract management programme.
