DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
The ideal candidate will provide supervisory support through direct supervision and coordination within the fast-paced environment of the casting unit to meet the business goals of AM/NS Calvert.
The Basics:
- Must have one of either:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management or similar 4-year degree
- 4+ years of Military leadership experience
- 4+ years of relevant leadership experience in an industrial or steel mill
- Computer skills to include Microsoft Office, web applications
- Must be willing to lead by example and provide accountability for direct reports
- Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent education
The Extras:
- Experience with computer software to include SAP, TWMS, and MES
- Experience with continuous improvement processes

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Responsible for the safety, order, and cleanliness of area
- Supervises and directs operations personnel on the specific duties to be accomplished each day
- Enforces company policies using coaching and disciplinary recommendations
- Performs the shift turnover with the previous and following shifts
- Works closely with Maintenance team to diagnose problems
- Works on continuous improvement of process
- Manages personnel work schedules, attendance and timekeeping
- Schedules and assigns required training for direct reports
- Responsible for documentation and reporting of issues in mill with root cause analysis and recommends solutions
- Fulfills the commitment to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
- Fulfills the responsibilities required to achieve the Quality Commitment
- Responsible for Key Performance Indicators for the assigned shift

- Industrial setting in Casting
- Gulf coast region in Calvert, AL
- Shift Work – Rotating 12 hour shifts to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays
