At GDIT, our people are at the center of everything we do. In compliance with GDIT’s Billing policy, as a Financial Analyst, supporting the Cash Operations Intel Billing Team, the candidate will be responsible for preparation, and submission of invoices for a variety of contract types and customers, to include Government and Civilian Agencies.
MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT:
- Prepare and submit invoices to government and commercial customers in compliance with contractual and FAR regulations for all contract types
- Review contract documents for information or changes related to invoicing
- Maintain and update electronic billing folders in accordance with established guidelines
- Analyze revenue reports during the invoicing process to understand and communicate unbilled balances
- Reconcile unbilled balances, including booked to billed analysis per applicable invoice
- Reconcile total payments received to total calculated claim
- Submit Invoice to Department Supervisor/Manager for audit approval
- Coordinate with Finance and Contracts on issues discovered during preparation and analysis. Follow up on any adjustments that need to be made
- Submit approved invoices to the customer via the customer’s payment system (Excludes some classified contracts – processed by FA or Contracts)
- Assist with the collection process
- Participate in special projects as required
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline. In lieu of degree, 6 years of related experience in Finance or Accounting required.
- Required Experience: 2 years of related experience in Finance or Accounting
- Required Technical Skills: Microsoft Office Suite
- Required Skills and Abilities: Strong analytical and Excel skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently. Must be comfortable contacting customers (both internal and external) directly to resolve issues; possess critical thinking ability; and be self-motivated.
- Preferred Skills and Abilities: Government billing experience. Understanding of FAR and other government regulations necessary for Billing. ORACLE, CostPoint, or other related systems.
- Location: This is a hybrid position working in our GDIT facility in Herndon, VA. Must be comfortable working onsite 3 days a week.
