Carlin - Assay Lab Frontline Supervisor

We have an exciting opportunity for you!  Our people division is growing, and we are looking for an Assay Laboratory Frontline Supervisor at our Carlin operations.

Responsibilities:

• Must be familiar with SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and Labware used in the Cortez Assay Lab
• Responsible for assay lab crew's safe production, environmental compliance and quality of analytical work reported
• Responsible for OTL entry and approval, manager self-service, work requests/orders, move orders, updating employee training records, status upgrades and employee performance reviews
• Responsible for controlling costs to comply with annual budget
• Prioritize and re-prioritize a large workload as needed to meet client expectations
• Promote a safe working environment, procedures, and culture
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Experience in analytical laboratory, or equivalent background preferred
• Proficiency with laboratory sample preparation, fire assay, atomic absorption, Leco and XRF (X-Ray Fluorescence spectrometer) preferred
• Knowledge of bullion fire assay and settlements preferred
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform operational maintenance on all analytical equipment preferred
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites required
• Prior leadership experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills—both oral and written required
• Good planning and organizational skills required
• Sound understanding of safety and environment requirements associated with an assay lab required
• Demonstrate good safety leadership through Courageous Leadership and Visible Felt Leadership and proven safe work record required
