We are looking for an Capital Project Manager to join our Agricultural Solutions team supporting our BASF | Nunhems Vegetable Seeds business based in Parma, ID. Relocation assistance is available, if applicable.

As a Capital Project Manager, you will be responsible for developing comprehensive capital project plans that include scope, budget, timeline, and resources. You will coordinate with management and present updates to the Steering Committee while actively participating in the procurement process. Your role involves ensuring stakeholder engagement, monitoring project progress, construction management, and communicating effectively throughout the project lifecycle. Additionally, you will manage risks and ensure quality control, all while providing technical support to foster project success and excellence.

• Developing detailed capital project plans that include organization, scope, budget, timeline, safety, construction management, and resources in collaboration with management.
• Coordinating and presenting project updates to the Steering Committee and Vegetable Seeds Management.
• Actively participating in the procurement process, including vendor selection and bid evaluation.
• Ensuring stakeholder engagement and motivation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitoring project progress and costs, taking timely action to address any issues or budget concerns.
• Establishing quality control plans and ensuring proper documentation transfer to the Technical Support department.

If you...

 

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in project management, construction management, an engineering field, or other relevant project management related field of study. 
• Bring over 5 years of project management experience, ideally within manufacturing or agricultural environments.
• Exhibit strong analytical thinking, prioritization, and organizational skills to manage complex projects effectively.
• Demonstrate excellent communication abilities, including intercultural competence and the capacity to engage diverse teams.
• Possess a high level of commercial awareness and a strategic mindset aligned with business goals.
• Thrive in multicultural settings, showing respect and adaptability when working with varied personalities and cultures.
• Are able to travel up to 10%, domestically.
