What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations at the government location in a calm, problem-solving manner, using proper protocols for armed posts.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and maintain a visible security-related presence.
- Monitor for suspicious activity and report any incidents or conditions that may require intervention or additional security-related measures.
- Interact with employees, visitors, and/or the public in a professional manner, providing assistance or information as appropriate.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all activities, incidents, and/or irregularities encountered during patrols.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency responders when necessary according to established procedures for government sites.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
- Have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of security-related supervisor or manager experience or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
