Full-Time Deli Manager

Location:  Cub Foods Chaska

Reports to: Assistant Store Director

Classification:  Union 663 Classified Assistant

Rate of Pay:  $31.33 / hour

Hours:  Sunday – Saturday, varied hours

Jerry’s is seeking an individual who:

• Will make lasting connections with our customers
• Prepares deli products including a variety of cheeses and salads
• Prepares meat and seafood products including a variety of beef, fish, poultry, and pork
• Fills and rotates cases and displays (may be some heavy lifting-up to 50lbs) and manages shrink
• Creates and manages a weekly work schedule for employees
• Will train and develop deli employees
• Assists with merchandising and receiving products to keep our shelves full
• Helps maintain a clean and sanitary store

• Has experience working in a deli (2-3 years preferred)
• Attended Food Safety training and understands proper cooking and holding temperatures

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

FREQUENT: 15% or more of the work shift or at least ten repetitions per work shift. 

OCCASIONAL: Approximately less than 15% of the work shift or fewer than 10 repetitions per work shift. 

FREQUENT: 

Physical 

• lifting/carrying to 50 lbs., pushing/pulling up to 1500 force lbs.  

(unloading deli ingredients and supplies) 

• walking, reaching, standing, stooping/bending, squatting, kneeling 

• repetitive motion: turning, bending 

• equipment operation: 

knives, slicer, steamer, scales, deep fryer, oven, pallet jack 

Mental 

judgment/decision making, social skills/verbal interaction, memorization, reading, writing, math, basic computer skills 

OCCASIONAL: 

Physical 

lifting/carrying over 50 lbs., equipment operation (calculator), climbing ladders, kneeling, crawling 

ENVIRONMENTAL: 

extended exposure to varied temperatures and wet surfaces, working with hot grease
