Background & About the RoleOur award-winning Tier 1 Debt Capital Markets/Structured Financed practice is a recognised leader in its field and you will join a dynamic and experienced a team of highly-performing, self-starting and innovative lawyers. At our Dublin offices you will work closely with our partners and senior associates across the firm in advising clients on the full range of debt capital markets, private credit, securitisation and structured finance transactions. This is an excellent opportunity to work in an internationally focused, organisation which places huge emphasis on continuous personal professional development, mentoring and career development within a collegiate team-based environment The Debt Capital Markets and Structured Finance Group acts for Irish and international issuers, originators, lead managers, arrangers and trustees on debt capital market issuances and structured finance matters, including:
- Securitisations (including RMBS, CMBS, CLOs, SRTs)
- Loan portfolio acquisitions and financings
- Private credit structures
- Direct lending strategies
- Fund financings (including ABL strategies)
- Regulatory capital issuances
- Corporate debt issuance programmes, standalone issuances and private placements
- High Yield debt issuances
- Structured debt issuances
- Green bond issuances
- Derivatives and financial markets infrastructure
- Bridge and warehouse financing
- Regulatory and securities laws issues, including the Securitisation Regulation, Market Abuse Regulation
Key Responsibilities
- Acting for leading market participants, domestic and international.
- Provision of legal and commercial expertise.
- Actively engaging in business development and thought leadership initiatives and seeking out opportunities for new work.
- Drafting legal documents clearly and concisely, creating solutions using legal knowledge and commercial judgement to advise and support all of our clients.
- Developing strong relationships with the firm's clients, ensuring the highest quality of service and acting in a diligent, responsible and professional manner.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
Experience in Debt Capital Markets and Structured Finance Practice is not a pre-requisite, however the ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and ambitious lawyer with 0 – 3 years PQE in the Finance Group at a corporate law firm. Prior experience in finance, structured finance or debt capital markets in a recognised practice is optimal but not essential.We are open to hearing from those currently practicing in Ireland or those interested in returning to, or relocating to, Ireland.
