Job Description

Service Now Cloud Observability, formally Lightstep, enables teams to detect and resolve regressions quickly, regardless of system scale or complexity. We integrate seamlessly into daily workflows, whether you are proactively optimizing performance or investigating a root cause so you can quickly get back to building features.  

We created ServiceNow Cloud Observability because we understand the massive architectural transformation underway in the software industry, and we saw an opportunity to accelerate it, all while improving the quality of the developer and end-user experience. 

As a Senior Frontend Software Engineer in Product Engineering, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping new product offerings and building new visualizations and features that let our customers turn their system data into real insight and understanding, while working closely with product managers, product designers, backend engineers, and our platform engineering teams. We're looking for someone excited to join a growing team that writes efficient, maintainable code for a standout product used every day by engineers at Lyft, Twilio, and more.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

• You have 4+ years of experience building single-page web applications with a team of engineers
• You have experience with React, Typescript 
• You have experience in data visualization either professionally or via personal projects 
• You have experience with data-intensive applications and distributed systems
• You have made product changes that immediately impact the users' experience
• You have built products for software developers
• You have worked closely with and collaborated with product managers, designers, and other software engineers
• You like leaving a codebase better than you found it, but you know how to trade off development time and product velocity
• You’re passionate about personal growth and value receiving feedback from your colleagues; You’re also generous and helpful in giving feedback to your colleagues

For positions in the Bay Area, we offer a base pay of $133,300 - $226,700, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
