At <strong>WKYC-TV,</strong> you'll be a key, hands-on operator, working closely with the Production Lead to maintain efficient and high-quality daily productions for news, marketing, and sales content. We're looking for a reliable team member who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced news environment.<br><br><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></span><br><br>· Serve as the technical liaison for news production and operations, ensuring seamless daily broadcasts, and assign tasks related to production and operations.<br><br>· Will take ownership of creating visually compelling content ensuring among other things visual angles, lighting and set arrangements.<br><br>· Setup, position, and operate robotic studio cameras as needed based on direction from the Production Lead or supervisors.<br><br>· Collaborate with engineering to optimize streaming systems and control room equipment for production needs.<br><br>· Assist the Production Lead in organizing and preparing technical elements for special events and breaking news coverage.<br><br>· Support the implementation of standard operating procedures to maintain workflow efficiency and broadcast quality.<br><br>· Maintain effective technical communication with the newsroom and engineering departments to ensure systems are operational.<br><br>· Commit to continuous, high-quality technical support for live coverage of breaking news and community events.<br><br><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Requirements:</strong></span><br><br>· Associate’s degree or equivalent technical training in broadcasting, media production, or a related field preferred.<br><br>· 1+ years of hands-on television broadcast or live production (both linear and digital) experience preferred.<br><br>· Demonstrated technical aptitude and proficiency in operating production control room equipment.<br><br>· Hands-on expertise with news production
