<h2>Department Info</h2> <p>Terumo General Accounting department, operating within GBS (Global Business Services), provides supporting services in accounting to Terumo internal and external customers on a European basis. As part GBS, the main responsibility of the General Accounting department is to provide accurate, timely and appropriate accounting data to internal and external stakeholders, and to establish a Center of Expertise in Accounting across the Group. </p> <h2>Job Summary</h2> <p>The main responsibility of the Financial Accountant HQ Belgium is to participate to a correct reporting of the financial statements on a monthly, quarterly basis and Year End.</p> <h2>Job Responsibilities</h2> <p>1.    Accounting Activities</p> <p><br/>  ➢ Responsible for the day-to-day accounting activities, which can include: <br/> ⦁    Payroll accounting, including incentive accruals <br/> ⦁    Accrual – and deferral postings<br/> ⦁    Asset accounting and administration <br/> ⦁    Asset under construction (Investment orders) administration<br/> ⦁    Back-up for inventory (and consignment stock) accounting<br/> ⦁    Tax related accounting<br/> ⦁    SLA (re)charges<br/> ⦁    Intercompany accounting and reconciliation</p> <p><br/>      ➢ Responsible for the reconciliation of the accounts <br/> ⦁    Monthly performance of reconciliation of accounts using reconciliation schedule<br/> ⦁    Yearly equity reconciliation local GAAP – IFRS (Group Reporting)</p> <p> </p> <p>2.    Financial Closing Activities and Reporting</p> <p> </p> <p>⦁    Participate to the monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial closing, in accordance with Japanese group valuation rules (IFRS). Confirmation of the final figures to be included in the consolidated financial statements<br/> ⦁    Preparation of detailed information needed for reporting to parent company (TCAT reporting details)<br/> ⦁    Act as a point of contact for the HQ departments, R&amp;D department, and BU related accounting tasks<br/> ⦁    Participate and prepare details for the set-up of the local financial statements (following local GAAP and requirements)<br/> ⦁    Participate to the audits of local financial statements and group reporting financial statements<br/> ⦁    Preparation of local tax reporting (tax return and VAT reporting), in cooperation with Tax and VAT specialist.</p> <p> </p> <p>3.    Compliance, Policies and Procedures </p> <p> </p> <p>⦁    Ensure compliance with applicable group accounting policies. Support the process in place to ensure this structurally happens<br/> ⦁    Ensure compliance with local accounting regulations and requirements.<br/> ⦁    Identify areas for improvement, standardization and increasing of efficiency in the accounting process </p> <h2>Profile Description</h2> <p>⦁    Master or bachelor’s degree in applied economics or Certified Accountant, or equivalent through experience.<br/> ⦁    Extended experience in accounting and reporting <br/> ⦁    Experience in SAP (FI, MM and SD) <br/> ⦁    IFRS knowledge or equivalent through experience <br/> ⦁    Knowledge of local GAAP and requirements <br/> ⦁    Good working knowledge of English (written and spoken). Local country language can be an asset and for some countries a requirement.<br/> ⦁    Accuracy and attention to detail <br/> ⦁    Ability to work extended days on an occasional basis.<br/>  </p> <h2>Offer</h2> <p>Working for Terumo means contributing to society through healthcare.
