Are you a creative problem-solver who loves turning complex software into clear, engaging learning experiences? Entrata’s Product Education team is looking for a Senior Instructional Designer to elevate and maintain our industry-leading certification and training programs.
In this role, you’ll refine existing processes, create high-impact e-learning content for a fast-paced, ever-evolving platform, and ensure consistency and excellence through QA scorecards. You’ll collaborate with product experts, push creative boundaries, and mentor instructional designers to help them grow and deliver their best work.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to understand the desired performance of learners. 
  • Design and develop training content, including: video and course content, assessments, scenario-based training, interactive elements, and other training materials. 
  • Assist the Manager of Product Education Content to onboard and provide ongoing support to the instructional designers. 
  • Use a variety of multimedia technology and authoring tools to build content that engages the audience, increases retention, transfers skill/knowledge, and drives sustained behavior change.
  • Lights, Camera, Action! Plan and direct video production shoots for training videos and course content.
  • Work closely with Technical Writers and other Instructional Designers & Developers to make sure content meets client needs and correct information is being delivered.
  • Maintain knowledge of new learning approaches, technology, and measurement tools through continuous research to ensure our solutions deliver innovation.
  • Manage and complete projects within a specified timeline while prioritizing and working on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Provide regular QA feedback on the usability and design quality of instructional designers
  • Act as a formal team lead by directing the activities and execution of others. 
  • Lead special projects and serve as a best-practice/quality resource for the team and Manager.
  • Anticipates strategic challenges to the certification program. Interprets current business issues and recommends solutions/best practices.
  • Assist with the overall certification strategy and content management discussions and vision.
  • Help maintain the Style Guide and Standard Operating Procedures to keep information current.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
  • 6+ years experience using eLearning development tools like Articulate Storyline and Rise
  • 6+ years experience with video production and editing using tools such as Camtasia or Premiere
  • 6+ years experience developing training content for business software and/or technical software topics for eLearning
  • Ability to add creativity and design elements to the development process
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Works well in a team environment, with the ability to work independently
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to plan project tasks/events and execute timeline

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent time management skills
  • Masters Degree in Instructional Design, Business or related field
  • Video production experience
  • Experience in the multi-family industry
