What You'll Do:
The Senior Manager of Indirect Rates position supports the Financial Planning and Analysis function, including forward pricing, forecasting, reporting, analytics, and automation. The role provides input on strategic decision-making based on experience and knowledge of the business.
This role is a key leader of the finance organization and requires an individual to have alignment with the indirect budgets team in addition to supporting Program Finance leaders within the organization.
This position requires demonstration of several important leadership attributes, including:
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of federal regulations including FAR, U.S. GAAP, and a general understanding of public company requirements.
- The position is considered a change agent for the organization by demonstrating the ability to develop continuous improvement projects, partnering with finance leaders to deliver on financial expectations, and collaborating with the Senior Leadership Team in delivering timely, complete, and accurate financial results.
Job Duties:
- Supports the Financial Planning and Analysis function including budgets, forecasting, reporting, analytics, and automation.
- Provide input on strategic decision-making based on experience and knowledge of the business
- Use the information to assemble extensive financial databases
- Automate financial reporting activities.
- Compile financial reports using calculations, data, and other information.
- Assist in the preparation of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance of indirect rates and service centers compared to established goals and objectives
- Work closely with team members to consolidate actuals and forecasted financial performance
- Analysis and review of indirect rate structures
- Identify and research key variances.
- Work with and secure highly sensitive and confidential financial data and information.
- Support Government Compliance with the indirect rates as part of the Incurred Cost Submission.
- Provides financial guidance in accordance with current policies, regulations, and directives as mandated by Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP), US Government Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and US Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR). Anticipates, identifies, and takes corrective action where a lack of following procedures may introduce risk to the corporation, where compliance is lacking.
- Motivate, strengthen, and hold accountable financial team members at all levels.
- Train and support new team members to understand the overall structure of the organization
- Continuously update skill set, expertise, and technical knowledge by attending the required workshops and courses
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting. MBA Preferred.
- Minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience with a publicly traded company in business and corporate accounting, including financial accounting.
- Government contract accounting knowledge is required.
- Knowledge of GAAP, CAS, and FAR is required.
Other Requirements:
- Understanding of implementing and maintaining government rate pools.
- Proven track record of running and enhancing the financial operations of a portfolio.
- Demonstrated experience in the refinement and enhancement of financial systems.
- Demonstrated ability to optimize cost efficiencies
- Outstanding communications skills, both written and oral, with boardroom presence.

- Some travel is expected.
